Lotus

Lotus is a pure sports car manufacturer in the sharpest sense of the word. These are lightweight, mid-engine, exotic looking track stars. In 1948, Lotus founder Colin Chapman was a student at University College, London. Chapman had previously spent time in the Royal Airforce Reserves and had a background in engineering. While still a student, Chapman built his first racecar, in his garage. Since then the Lotus has become synonymous with fun, undiluted feedback, timeless syling, and pure simplicity. The lotus Elise chassis was the base for the first and groundbreaking Tesla Roadster that heralded the beginning of the age of electric automobiles.
